Before moving on to this topic more widely, we need to know about Navigation Panel. What is a Navigation Panel?Navigation simply means to navigate or go to other page. Navigation panel displays all the hierarchical tree view of folder and sub-folders. Generally you can see + and – button through which we can view or go to the folder and its sub-folders. Or you can understand this on a very simple way. When you click on a view tool bar, you will see an arrow like button in Tool bars like this:
See, the small arrow navigating arrow bottom. This button enables a user to view other of its topics or sub-topics. If you do not find the navigation pane at the left hand side of then follow the steps to customize your navigation panel.
Step 1: First, click on any open folder or libraries and then click organize.
Step 2: At the Organize tab, click on Folder and Search options.
Step 3: Folder dialog box will appear and then click on General Tab.
Step 4: Now, you will be have to click on the desired option that you want to add it to your navigation pane. The options are like this,
- Show All Folders
- Automatically expand to current folder
If you want to show all of the folders including your personal folder in your navigation pane, click on Show All Folders check box and apply it on your computer.
If you want to expand the navigation pane to any of the selected files or folders then click on Automatically expand to current folder and click Ok.
